Tomorrow is D day. Wishaw General in the morning for knee replacement surgery. Fear not! they've got the technology to rebuild me. I'll be the bionic wummin. I was last in hospital on Mothers day 1974 to give birth to Hazel, so I can't complain. She is coming down on Sunday to help nurse me back to health, bless her, Gordon will be lost for a few days but I'm sure Haze Babe will keep him on his toes. I must say it's been lovely tonight, the phone, e.mail and facebook have been real busy with family and friends wishing me well. I was quite touched. Oh well just got to bite the bullet now. It's good to know that Gordon will give me a priesthood blessing before I go tomorrow. Can't fail with these three carers, aren't I lucky?

Relief Society Birthday Party 2011
Our Relief Society Birthday Bash turned out to be a fun night, About 25 sisters came out to celebrate this wonderful womens movement. I didn't realise that it's the oldest and largest world wide womans organisation with over 8 million members in 170 countries. It was established on March 17th 1842 with a handful of good women, and I'm proud to be a member and honoured to be the President of the Motherwell Ward.
They are a lovely group of women who are only to happy to help and serve. Having grown up in a houseful of men, I appreciate having sisters. The four sisters in ancient attire, performed a readers theatre and then they bore their testimonies. It was very spiritual. The McKee girls sang Daughter of a King accompanied on the piano with Susan Duncanson. Lovely!
We then went on to have some fun with a game of Irish Bingo and a gurning contest [hilarious]. The usual eats and a good natter. A big thankyou to all who contributed. We are now planning an Easter Cup Cake Extravaganza.
